The 200 Day MS Challenge!
I recently read an article featured in one of the MS Society of Canada magazines. It highlighted a man who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and decided to be as active as possible by creating “The 200 Day MS Challenge” where his goal was to complete 200 physical activities in a year while raising funds for the MS Society. This story inspired me to start my own challenge, but I altered the challenge a wee bit…
I do not have MS, but I have worked with individuals with MS and I also have family friends who are living with the illness. Therefore, I would like to help out anyway that I can.
On October 1st, 2016 I begun my personal journey of striving to complete 200 leisure activities throughout the year that range from physical, cultural, social, creative (you get the picture).
In order to complete 200 activities, I need YOU – friends, family and followers (mostly the same people!) to suggest as many activities and/or events as possible that I should partake in and I would also love for YOU to participate in these activities alongside me! Therefore, suggestions and invitations are greatly encouraged. For EVERY activity that is suggested by YOU, I will donate $2 to the MS Society of Canada.
The sky is the limit for the activities (except I don’t particularly want to jump out of the sky) and did I mention the freer the better?! These suggestions can be sent my way via the Contact page, The Wreck in Recreation Facebook page or @thewreckinrecreation on Instagram.
Throughout this challenge I am keeping track of the activities completed on this page. Once the 200 activities are accomplished, (fingers crossed) I will tally up the activities that were suggested by you beautiful people and send in the big fat donation.
I am very psyched, but need a lot of help!! Please spread the word (this may also get the word out about my blog!) I know I am a goof, but on the rare occasion, I can be serious 🙂
